Five Months

Actually five months and three days ... that's how long Anna has lived in this house.

Almost half a year.

It's hard to believe.

It's hard to remember life before. That's a good thing.

I don't have any stats or progress reports for this post. Life is busy. Anna is learning and growing ... boy, is she growing! Both physically and mentally. She's busy. She laughs. She's learning to play. And she has outgrown all of her clothes and shoes. She is solid.

We took family photos the day before Mother's Day. I'm waiting to have them all in hand before I share them, but I've seen a sneak peek. They're awesome, and they really do show that our Anna girl is thriving. It's hard to believe so much can be seen in one photo, but it's there. It's in her eyes and her smile. No things aren't always perfect. Yes, there are still tears and tantrums (from both of us) and struggles. But I remind myself time and again that God is doing the hard stuff. He's doing the healing. I'm just along for the ride.
