Six Months

Yesterday, marked six months since "gotcha" day. I didn't even realize what the date was until late yesterday afternoon. We had spent the day going about our normal, now more relaxed due to summertime, routine. We went grocery shopping, ate lunch, and cleaned up some before naptime. After Anna's nap we were outside, and she was playing in the wading pool when I suddenly realized the date.

Six months!

It's hard to believe, and yet, it seems like she's been with us for much longer.

Miss Anna weighs almost 28 lbs. I have no clue how tall she is, but she keeps getting taller. She's very athletic and coordinated, and I foresee a lot of sports in her future which is a big change for this very unathletic mama! She's communicating so much more here lately. She understands most of what we tell her and will follow instructions ... when she feels like it. Haha! She's learning to play. She's still not a big fan of television which is fine by me but isn't opposed to watching a few minutes of Barney from time to time. She is eating so well and has finally started eating with her hands. She loves animal crackers. She's spirited and funny, and most importantly, she's our girl.

Here's a picture from our outside time yesterday.
