Oh my gosh y'all. I have so much catching up to do. And someday I'll actually upload the pictures and get you caught up . . . Andrew may be 21, but I promise I'll get it done. But until then . . .
I've had a cold all week. It's not a particularly bad cold, but it's enough to make me feel really crummy. Despite feeling miserable, I plowed ahead with everything we had to do. Partly because sometimes you don't have a choice (and let's face it, it's a cold not the Bubonic Plague), and partly because I'm stubborn and refuse to give in to a cold. So early this morning, after an hour of coughing (nothing bad, just a stupid throat tickle that won't stop), Patrick says, "Why don't you stay home from church this morning?". And for once I conceded. I haven't missed church because I was sick in years, but I know the rest will do me good. Of course it doesn't take much effort to do a couple loads of laundry . . .
Speaking of Patrick, on this day 15 years ago, we officially started dating. That was a long time ago. Now I feel old. But seriously, I'm not always the greatest at showing it, but I'm so thankful that God gave me a husband that is willing to put up with me and all my OCD ways. I'm thankful because he is such an amazing father to Andrew, and I know he'll be just as great of a dad to our little girl one day. More than anything, I'm thankful for the Godly man that Patrick is. He is such a great example to Andrew of what a man of God should be, and to me, there's nothing more important.
Okay, I'll stop with the mushy stuff. I need to eat breakfast anyway. I may have a cold, but it hasn't affected my appetite. ;)
