Playing Catch Up

I have so much catching up to do. I still haven't posted any pictures of the beach trip that was almost a month ago. And then there are the pictures of the impromptu field trip to the Texas Capitol which also need to be posted. But my camera hasn't been working so well lately, and so Patrick and I are sharing (plus his is just better than mine). I hate sharing a camera with him. It's not because I'm selfish and greedy. It's because he uses his for work, and so it often disappears from the house when I'm home and have a moment to download pics.

Anyway here's a quick summary of what's going on.

It's cold and windy outside. It's actually a bit unusual for this time of year. But we've had rain. Quite a bit of it in fact. And the angels rejoiced. Now if we can just keep it coming.

Due to flooded fields all soccer games were cancelled today. Did I mention it is cold and windy? And I was going to have to fill in as coach. So glad the games were cancelled. That could've been quite a circus.

Patrick's out of town until late tonight (which is the reason why I was going to have to coach soccer). He left yesterday at lunch time. Andrew and I have been huge bums. I did work out yesterday, but I've been feeling a little crummy so I may take a couple days off to let my body heal. Needless to say, I was too lazy to cook last night so we ordered pizza. Then we ate huge bowls of ice cream. It was worth it. No regrets there.

I bought myself  Andrew the entire collection of "Home Alone" movies. We've watched the first two. The third I have mixed feelings about. In spite of a series of bad choices and the movie "The Good Son", Macaulay Culkin will always be the best "Home Alone" kid in my book.

I decided this morning that we needed pumpkin bread for breakfast. It doesn't take long to mix up. But it takes for stinkin' ever to bake. Now I'm starving and waiting rather impatiently for it to finish baking.

We've been busy. Nothing new there. And there a million things going on, but so much of it deserves its own post. Hopefully I'll have time to catch y'all up soon.

Enjoy your Saturday!
