Through rolling hills, majestic mountains, and shadowy forests . . .
Over swamps and rivers (and some very long bridges) . . .
Through wildlife encounters (including one with a snake that I would've rather avoided) . . .
Eight states (including our own) in eight days . . .
And we're home again!
Our vacation was wonderful, and as soon as I sort through the hundreds of pictures, I'll share them (not all . . . I promise) with y'all.
Tonight, as I unpack and wash laundry and get back into the routine of daily life, I pray for those who were affected by the shooting in Colorado. It's so hard to wrap my mind around what happened, and I can't remotely imagine the magnitude of the suffering of those affected by this heinous act. So tonight I pray that God will bring peace. Peace to the survivors. Peace to the families of the victims. Peace that passes all understanding.
"Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted." Matthew 5:4 NKJV
