We spent the day catching up around the house, baking, and making the yard look presentable (the backyard was starting to resemble a jungle, and the dogs kept getting lost).
Late yesterday afternoon Patrick's side of the family came over, and I threw some burgers on the grill. We ate and the kids played on the Wii before we headed off to watch the fireworks. (sorry no pictures)
Then around 8:00, we went to the city park to watch the fireworks. I managed to get a few pathetic phone pictures. I may be the worst fireworks photographer ever. Y'all fireworks are hard to photograph. Take my word for it when I say they were much more spectacular in person.
Oh and did I mention that when we went to leave to watch said fireworks my car wouldn't start? Yep that's right. My brand new, been off the lot less than a week car decided to spaz out. To be completely accurate, the computer spazzed out, and enabled a security system which essentially locked us out. We can't reset it ourselves. The local dealership picked it up this morning, and it's being fixed as we speak. Apparently it's not unheard of. Gotta love computers and technology. Sometimes, I think we need to go back to horses and buggies . . . not really, but yeah, well . . . technology can be so frustrating sometimes.
Hope everyone had a fun and safe Fourth!
