So, I want to apologize if I was a little snarky about the whole car payments thing. I wasn't meaning to be, and it's not like we want to sink ourselves into tons of debt, but for us, car payments are part of the budget. We've always been fine with that, and it probably won't change anytime soon.
I did end up getting a Ford Expedition. I was a little nervous about the size, but y'all, I love it. I feel like I'm sitting (errrr, driving) on top of the world. We did most of the shopping online which made the whole process easier, and considering that I lost my head completely and took Andrew and my two nephews with us, that was a good thing. They were actually well behaved, and the whole experience was a good one overall, but by the time we went through the whole trade-in process (thankfully wasn't too much of a hassle) and did the paperwork and then went over all of the
Olympic Trials:
Am I the only one that can't wait for the Olympics??? In particular, women's gymnastics. I recorded the trials since I wasn't home to watch them. Even though I already knew she didn't make the team, I couldn't help crying when Nastia Liukin fell on the second night. It was heartbreaking. But watching the others, I think the U.S.A. has a really strong team headed to London in a few weeks, and I can't wait to watch them. Really hoping they bring home a team gold.
Even though gymnastics is my favorite, I'll watch almost any and every Olympic sport.. I also love to watch swimming and track events. Now, I'll just have to convince the boys in my house to share the big t.v. :)
Andrew Update:
Andrew's face is looking really good. Shockingly, there is almost zero swelling and bruising. He hasn't complained about it hurting either but does say it itches a little. He's also enjoying telling everyone what happened, and sound effects are thrown in for free.
And I think that's all for now . . .
